Alcune anticipazioni riguardanti i Githyanki e Githzerai sono trapelate in rete

I Githyanki (un gruppo di umanoidi simili a degli elfi che vivono sul piano astrale) sono una delle razze che saranno presenti in Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes, una nuova pubblicazione per Dungeons & Dragons .

Il nuovo libro illustrerà i tratti razziali e le caratteristiche del Githyanki e di molte altre razze, in modo che i giocatori possano creare un personaggio da quella razza in una nuova avventura.

All’inizio di questa settimana, un utente di Reddit ha postato alcuni dettagli su Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes, grazie alla preview di un avvenutra recentemente giocata in un negozio locale.

Secondo questo utente, l’avventura permetterà ai giocatori di scegliere tra diversi personaggi Githyanki o Githzerai pre-generati. Mentre le due razze di solito sono nemiche, le avventure spingono entrambe le culture a unirsi per il reciproco vantaggio.

L’avventura di per sé sembra piuttosto interessante, ma uno dei grandi suggerimenti del post era una lista di tratti razziali dei personaggi di Githyanki e Githzerai.

Consideriamo però che questi tratti sono per un’avventura pre-generata, quindi è possibile che Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes abbia ulteriori tratti razziali che non sono ancora emersi.

Githyanki:

Decadent Mastery.

• You learn one language of your choice, and you are proficient with one skill or tool of your choice. In the timeless city of Tu’narath, githyanki have bountiful time to master odd bits of knowledge.

Martial Prodigy.

• You are proficient with light and medium armor and with shortswords, longswords, and greatswords.

Githyanki Psionics.

• You know the mage hand cantrip, and the hand is invisible when you cast the cantrip with this trait.
• When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the jump spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.
• When you reach 5th level, you can cast the misty step spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.
• Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Githzerai:

Mental Discipline.

• You have advantage on saving throws against the charmed and frightened conditions. Under the tutelage of monastic masters, githzerai learn to govern their own minds.

Githzerai Psionics.

• You know the mage hand cantrip, and the hand is invisible when you cast the cantrip with this trait.
• When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the shield spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.
• When you reach 5th level, you can cast the detect thoughts spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.
• Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
